I just had to write this review for all the reviewers who are complaining about this machine dropping their discs in the back of the unit or getting jammed or destroying their CDs.HELLO,READ THE MANUAL!THIS PLAYER MUST BE ON A LEVEL SURFACE SO IT CAN DROP THE DISC IN THE RIGHT SPOT!I use this machine for hours on end every day for over a year and it's never had any problems so GET YOUR LEVEL OUT!

I've had this thing for 4 years and never had any problems. It read all my discs fine, no skips, etc.
It does what it's supposed to.
Not sure if the other people here got theirs from a bad batch or something.

I have had this product for about four or five years now and have not had a single problem with it. No Destroyed CDs, I can read the display fine despite no tilt, and it has never failed to function in any way whatsoever. In fact the only thing out of the ordinary it does is upon being plugged back in after a storm or the power coming back on after said storm (if I forgot or was not present to unplug my surge outlet, I'm a little paranoid) the unit will turn itself on. This is of importance though of course as my reciever is not on to emit the music.

I needed something to contain my CD's. This model was actually rated higher by several in the business than was the 400 capacity unit. Plus, it is expandable to 600 CD's with a simple daisy chain. It has 8 different program modes, which I use. I grouped my CD's into categories and used my keyboard to identify each CD by CD and artist name. It doesn't take that much time and is worth every minute!! The remote works well from almost any angle; the time between discs when shuffling is not long (the value of clustering categories), and I play it daily. Nice machine!

I've had my CX-355 for five years now, use it almost every day, and have never had a problem with it--so I don't understand people having CD's ruined. It's completely filled, except sometimes for disc slot #1.
I fill it with CD copies so if someone was to steal it I wouldn't be out 300 times $15. And I have all the disk names down on paper (using MS Word) both by group and by slot # so I can quickly find or identify disks.
Initially I didn't think I needed 8 separate groups, but now I wish I had more.
Hope they keep making this or one like it, because when mine eventually breaks, I definitely want to replace it with something like it.
